Scripture

1) 其实没有人配得
Actually no one is deserving
i) 是别人说他配得
It’s others who said he deserved it: v4
* v7: 自以为不配 Considered himself not worthy
ii) 耶稣却没有驳斥
But Jesus did not rebuke
iii) 耶稣还愿意同去
Jesus was willing to go with them: v6

2) 他看似“配得”之处
Areas he seemed “deserving”
i) 他爱上帝的百姓
He loved God’s people: v5
ii) 建造敬拜的会堂
Built synagogue for worship: v5
iii) 为仆人非自己求
Asking for the servant not himself: v2-3

3) 对耶稣百般敬畏
Full of reverence for Jesus
i) 惊讶耶稣亲自来
Surprised that Jesus came Himself: v6
ii) 尊敬耶稣的地位
Respected Jesus’ position: v6-7

iii) 对主的话有信心
Had faith in Jesus’ words: v7-9
