1)瘟疫开始的原因
Reasons the plague started
i) 民中有罪激怒神
Sin among the people angered God: * v1
ii) 王靠己不荣耀神
King trusted himself and not glorifying God:

iii) 神允许撒旦攻击
God permitted Satan to attack:
*代上 1 Chron. 21:1

2)瘟疫停止的原因
Reasons the plague stopped
i) 神有丰盛的怜悯
God’s mercy is great: * v14-16, 25
ii) 当人肯谦卑悔改
When the people humbled themselves and
repented: * v10, 17; 代上 1 Chron. 21:16
iii) 民中有神喜悦的
Some among the people pleasing to God: * v16, 18-25; 路Luke 2:14
